		<description>It can. Consult your vet if you would like to see what doggie toothpastes are the best. Also, check the toothpaste for ingredients. Baking soda and Table Salt are a nice, cheap, readily available alternative for those who do not want to spring extra cash on dog toothpaste.</description>
