Teacup Yorkie Dogs is a fun filled website of sheer Yorkshire Terrier joy. We own two beautiful Yorkies and are excited to share our knowledge and puppy product reviews with you.

As a fellow consumer of pet products specifically for these lovable terriers, we hope to provide a non-biased and objective source of Yorkie dog product reviews.

In addition to providing information about yorkies, we own two yorkies. Our yorkies are sometimes referred to on this site as “teacup” although yorkshire terriers are officially a toy breed. Teacup is more of a slang term used to describe very cute or very small yorkies. However, teacup is often used with yorkie to describe yorkshire terriers who in adulthood will never reach 3 lbs. The breed standard of the yorkshire terrier is 3-7 lbs, and this is a weight requirement when showing yorkies professionally. Our yorkies are both well above 3 lbs.; Bubby, our male yorkie, weighs about 5 lbs. Bella our female yorkie weighs around 6 lbs. as an adult. She is a tiny dog and our company always comments on how shocked they are at how small our dogs are despite being full grown. There is no need to adopt a yorkie that in adulthood will weigh less than 3 lbs.

When my husband and I decided to create this site we had already adopted our first yorkie, Bella. We adopted our second yorkie shortly after. Bella and Bubby have been loads of fun!

When I decided to adopt a yorkie I had no idea how much work was involved. I found myself researching yorkshire terriers daily. While I did find vast amounts of yorkie resources on the web, I decided to compile all the information I found into one place, friendly to the common yorkie owner, or lover. And from what I hear all yorkies are just as fun. Information is also offered that will help those deciding whether or not to adopt a teacup yorkie dog.

When one adopts a yorkie they assume great responsibility. Yorkies are fun, but they are not fashion accessories or playthings.
