Bella was born in January 2008. I decided to look for yorkie dogs in March after deciding with Bart, my husband, that we would adopt a yorkie. I looked at the online classified portion of a local radio station’s website for yorkies. I spent hours looking. As soon as I saw Bella’s picture I thought, what a beautiful dog! I would love to adopt that little girl yorkie.

I called the listed number, and the rest is history! I remember asking the yorkie breeder over the phone if she still had the yorkie left whose picture was on the ad. The breeder had originally four yorkies.

I found out that the breeder had only one yorkie left- a female. The breeder was not sure if her remaining yorkie puppy was the same in the picture and could not answer my question. We agreed to meet so I could become acquainted with the baby yorkie puppy.

As soon as I saw her, I knew that she was indeed the same yorkie that I had seen in the picture. I was surprised at how beautiful she was. The breeder told me that Bella was the pick of the litter. Bella was “claimed” months before and a deposit was paid, but the interested yorkie lover had never returned. I was amazed at my luck in the situation- it seemed as though the pick of this litter had been saved until last for me!

Bella is literally the cutest dog I have ever seen. She is gorgeous. Bart and I still sometimes sit and watch her just because of her beauty. But Bella possesses many more charms than her looks. She is extremely smart. Her father was a yorkie champion- although champion status is mainly about the fit of the breed standard, I am sure that all yorkies from Bella’s line were extremely smart, talented dogs.

Bella reads our facial expressions very accurately, and as a result is able to pick up on subtle behaviors that we like or dislike. She is well behaved. Bella also loves to bark in her highest pitch, loudest bark at my husband, Bart, when she wants held or attention or to play ball. Bella has had an interesting eating habit since she was a puppy. Bella also has a stuffed animal dog boyfriend that Bubby, our other puppy, is very jealous of. Bella is quite the dame. I guarantee that you will love the stories about Bella!
