In making dog food, we dog breeders can be meticulous as hell. And because of this, there are a few major things to consider in making dog food better, tastier, and worry-free for our pets.

1) Know your dog’s nutritional needs. Dog breeders act as in-house nutritionists, too. It is important to note which dog food brand best suits your dog’s needs.

Health being of major importance – you will be surprised at learning your dog’s potential weaknesses by giving it dog food that does not go well with its body.

2)  Far-out dog food experiments. Personally, I would not recommend mixing sauce with very strong ingredients in making dog food taste so delicious for your pet. Well, it can be, but bear in mind that there are certain chemicals found in sauces which can be harmful for your dog.

A good example would be mixing soy sauce in dog food as this leads to skin irritation causing the dog to scratch relentlessly, and the coat eventually falls off.

3) Be open to other ideas in making dog food. Yep, Seeking other people’s opinion also proves to be helpful. In making dog food, diversity can be as much as fun as giving your dog only the best for its health.

4) Proper usage of dog food bowls. This too is needed in preparing a good meal for your dog. Old plates are ok, but since dogs don’t ever eat using spoons and forks – a dog food bowl is designed and sold exclusively for our pets not because it’s simply a food bowl; using it helps lessen the extra food mess made by your dog from eating.

5) Always have fresh drinking water ready. Preparing a sumptuous meal naturally includes fresh drinking water. Juice or any other beverage (as long as it’s good) is all right, too, like kid’s juice, or milk.

6) Always use a clean dog food bowl in making dog food. Well, some dog owners tend to forget to wash dog food bowls after a meal. Leaving the used dog food bowl is not only unsanitary; it also attracts various microbes and breed on it, which can possibly make dogs susceptible to diseases caused by these microbes.

It does not really matter if we have a different approach in making dog food. After all, our dog’s health matters most, and we must stick to the tried and tested ones, always.
