It is funny after reading articles and articles about organic pet food, sometimes you get a smirk out of all of it. Some things are good others bad, some things are ok, and some are kind of ironic.
I have been reading about organic and holistic dog foods for pet lately. I suppose I did find some things funny and out of way.
For instance, chicken heads, cow brains and sheep guts were given negative write ups in the articles I have read. On the other hand, in the wild of Mother Nature, dogs do eat these parts of the kill and it is good for them.
I’m a firm believer that organic pet food is a good way to go. Chicken heads and sheep guts are organic. I may not be human grade because we do not see them eaten by humans. Although in some countries in Africa and South East Asia, Eating guts and chicken heads is as normal as eating steaks.
I have been having my eyes opened with all of these information about what I an reading.
I’m beginning to think that getting these raw stuff from the markets is a lot better because there have been a lot of food recalls from the past year for reasons we do not know.
A lot of canines respond well to, biologically appropriate raw food or Barf. Another meaning of Barf in common terms is BONES AND RAW FEEDING. That is about as organic as it can get. The only question is if these ingredients are human grade. Organic Pet food may not exactly mean human grade but dogs aren’t humans. They are dogs. So I do not see the error in dogs eating
The main benefit associated with organic pet food is that most of it is made without additives, chemicals or preservatives, and non-essential bulk fillers. They are supposed to be all meat and that is what organic pet food should be. In the wild, there are no things such as preservatives, it’s simpler. He pack hunts, the pack eats whatever they have killed and they live normally with it.
It’s a common error highlighted by Cesar Milan, the dog whisperer. Dogs are Dogs, they are not humans. They need Dog grade food and not human grade food.
Many researchers continue to explore the benefits of organic pet food, there still isn’t conclusive evidence that organic food cures all ills or is the absolute best choice for your animal and I totally agree with that. I just find it funny sometimes.
