This metal play pen is the most affordable type on the market. We love to use this play pen for the puppies when outside (we don’t have a fence yet) and inside. Our puppies love the play pen. After my husband set it up they both ran around and around inside the pen. I found that if I left the door open they chose to enter the playpen on their own.
Then afterwards when we closed the playpen they did not bark or whimper unless they needed to go outside.
Why use a play pen?
The play pen is a great way to allow your yorkie to have the room they need during the day to move around and play a little. Leaving our yorkie in a small enclosed area keeps are yorkies safe and prevents the yorkies from free reign of our home.
Further benefits
A small space allows the yorkie a sense of control over their environment. This helps small puppies to remember where their food dish and other items are. Yorkies feel comfortable and oriented when their “home” and personal space is static or doesn’t change, just as you and I benefit from order and organization.
We leave their food and water dishes inside night and day because of the yorkie propensity for low blood sugar.
Our puppies do eat throughout the day when given the opportunity, and when they do they are more playful, energetic, and overall in better moods.
They are such small dogs that they feel full quickly.Our puppies do not eat a lot during one sitting, or at one meal, so we find it necessary to make their food continuously available .
If you are on the market for a useful playpen you may want to consider the many options. Petsmart carries many variations on play pens. If you would like somethiing more “luxurious” for your yorkie there are plastic more friendly play pens, although they are pricey.

Where can you purchase the playpen for the teacup yorkie? How much is it and what are the measurements?

The playpen that we bought, the metal one that is pictured first, sells at PetSmart for about $80. The other plastic one cost a lot more, although I cannot remember exactly but it was around 150-200. I think. It also can be found at PetSmart.
This one on Amazon is only $50.00 plus shipping. Ours at our house is three feet tall, but this one is 2 feet tall. The reason why I bought it so tall was I wanted to be able to bring the dog outside and keep the roaming neighborhood dogs out. But we actually use it inside 99% of the time and the three feet is too tall for us (we are a little short) to pet the dogs and grab them. Thank goodness I bought one with a door.

this is a really cute puppy i have a yorkies but it is a boy and his name is dedo! we have set a screensaver of a yorkie where he is laying on the floor doing a cute pose and you dont really see that alot but i really love animals and i love spending time with them because they are so,so, so cute!!! welll of course my name is brandy and i am 12 years old and i am taking my time to write this couse i love puppies so much i just couldnt live without one! i have 2 dogs that live with me rite now and i used to have the yorkie but we let my uncle have it. but now he is moving and we get to have him back so well im gonna go now bye i really loved this picture thankyou for sharing it on google i really enjoyed it!!
