Puppy Toy Yorkie

Puppy Toy Yorkie
The Yorkie Terrier was firstly bred as a hunter and ratter that was small enough to inch his way into badger and fox burrows. Soon, the breed became a popular pet, especially for females who could carry the small dog in their carrier bag, or under their arm. A woman owning one affectionately refers to her pet as puppy toy Yorkie.

While this breed falls under the toy category, a puppy toy Yorkie can prove to be a brave guardian dog for a family, when he is old enough. For the young ones, they find it delightful to have an adult Yorkie dog that looks like a puppy toy Yorkie. Some owners have a couple or so of these dogs in their house.

In general, the Yorkie Terrier is an excellent choice for people who don’t have much space in their home. Always keep in mind that every Yorkie dog is an individual. Dogs are quite wonderful by default, especially with families and children, but there are many factors for one to consider.

One of these is to think when picking a Yorkie puppy, is the pedigree – since it can impose great impact on the Yorkie puppy’s overall disposition. You also have to make sure that love, affection, and utmost care are freely given to these dogs by your children, as Yorkies are generally loving and loyal dogs.

Also, consider looking for a veterinarian you can depend upon in case of Yorkie emergencies. For veterinarian recommendations, you can contact other Yorkie breeders in your area for a few trusted names.

Make sure your home is safe for the Yorkie puppy. This is also important. Yorkie puppies are so curious and playful, they can get into anything scattered which can result to dangerous situations. Be mindful of the items in your home, such as household plants, peach pits, mothballs, watch batteries, medicines, bleach, mouthwash, fabric softeners, soap, chocolate, antifreeze, and many other items that are dangerous to humans, as they can be dangerous to the Yorkie puppy as well.

Beforre you bring the new Yorkie puppy to your home, you may want to know more about common health problems in Yorkies. This gives you leeway to understand more about the breed by reading about general care.

Once you get the new Yorkie puppy, have a visit at the veterinarian first to make sure he is ok. Preparedness for your new pet’s health should start as solid as you can be, for his sake and yours, too.
