There are three varieties of yorkie puppies depending on their weight. Teacup yorkies are those that weight from 2.5 to 3.5 ounces. Tiny toy sizes weigh between 4 to 5.5 ounces. The toy sizes are from 6 to 6.5 ounces. Yorkie puppies attain their full growth when they reach 18 months.

A weight chart is also important in administering proper diet and nutrition. However, because of their size, dog owners would still feed adult yorkies with puppy foods.

Yorkie puppy foods should include a high level of protein and moderate amount of fats. Once it has reached maturity, yorkies would only require less fat and the appropriate amount of diet and nutrition should be considered. Due to their size, the amount of food can be ignored and these would result to the dog becoming overweight as well as other health issues.

While a yorkie growth chart may not provide an exact measurement, it would more or less provide you with an estimate on the weight of your pet when they become full-grown based on their current age and weight.

Here are the steps on how to determine the exact weight of your yorkie when they become full-grown:

First, determine the weight of your puppy and then convert it into ounces. The conversion rate is 1 lb = 16 oz. Next, look at the left hand column of the weight chart to determine the age of your pet yorkie.

Look at the right hand column of the chart and locate for the current weight of your puppy. Finally, scroll down to the bottom of your chart to determine the weight of your full-grown Yorkie.

A yorkie puppy weight chart will come in handy when you want to determine the size of your pet. This way, you will know whether they are healthy or not.
