Hi Juls, I know you did a nice thi ng in rescuing that little Yorkie in such a bad situation. BUT every time someone goes out to a kennel and ends up buying alittle Yorkie with allkinds of problems, they are not really rescuing the dog. They are giving the kennel owner money to continue to scam people and mistreat their dogs. You should report them to the State you live in. A kennel has enough dogs that they are state inspected and should be caught not taking care of the little ones. DOnt buy from a pet store who gets their puppies from the puppy mill. Dont buy from a nasty house, where the puppies have obvious problems. People often tell me they "rescued" a puppy from a bad breeder. And then they had a terrible time getting the puppy healthy and never did have the experience they wished for. All you really do is rescue the bad breeder to keep on doing what they are doing! I wish more people knew what the true story behind these sick little doggies is. Whats the best way to stop a bad breeder? - dont buy from them!

We have a Yorkie who is now almost 4 mos. old, and when we got him the people were all great and wonderful over the phone, but, he was full of worms and some kind of bugs that had infested in his ears and onto his skin then his whole body was covered. I had no idea that he had this, but, when we picked him up she had 3 puppies all male, and wanted female, one was heavy and long hair, one was really small and short hair and then there was my little Tommie, he is long hair, and when they were placed on the ground, he just guivered but, he walked over to me, and looked up and I was done, he was mine, no matter what. I picked him up and we drove back, he had a very odd smell, and I asked about it she told me it was a pine oil that they used to keep the puppies from getting the bugs in the ear. (they already had and when I bathed the little one and checked his ears they smelled so bad, and I found colonies of the crap on his body, I was just sick for him. We went to our vet the next day, she said they use the pine oil to mask the scent of the infection in his ears, he got current on his shots, and received meds for the ickies. He weighed a little under 24 ounces at 8 weeks, he now weighs 3 pounds and 4 oz. and I love him so much. I am told that he basically was a rescue puppy because the place he came from was closed the week after we took him. I am so glad he is our little boy.
