Try to look for the Yorkshire terrier Puppies for Sale or for free. If you find any please let me know where they are as I have been searching over most of the Yorkie sites and I haven’t found anything that is for free.
The best valued Yorkies are available. The lowest ones I saw were about 200 US dollars to 700 US dollars plus $225 in shipping. At that price you can try your luck in getting to them cause most of the time, they have been sold already by the time you get to see the website or the newspaper clipping.
Sure you get a tag line now and then that there is a free Yorkshire terrier but the thing is that the Yorkie is part of a marketing campaign like a free Yorkie in a raffle or earn one million points and take home a Yorkie or something like that. Worse case scenario is that you come across a site that tells you free Yorkies for adoption then you end up corresponding with someone who will try to lynch you by depositing the shipping charge and at the end of the transaction… NO YORKIE. What a scam.
Adopt a Yorkie? Yeah, true. I first thought that adopting one from rescue centers is like doing a favor to the Yorkie community. Of course it is but do not land yourself in a stigma where you think you wait in line for processing and assessment then getting the Yorkie for free. There are adoption fees ladies and gents. Yes, the Yorkie is free but the adoption has to be paid for. Well, it’s not misleading. After all, the rescue center has to be funded somehow. They cannot rely on donations by the good public to survive and continue their good work. Then again I could be wrong. Please let me know if you have a Yorkie that is free and I’ll deserve to be corrected.
If you try to look for Yorkshire terrier Puppies for sale or for free… try the “best value for sale part”. There are more realistic results for that search in any language. There are some you can get from breeders at a lower price than most and in good health too. If you go for the latter (searching for free Yorkies), May suggest you revise the search and try to look for wealthy friends, a loved one or any aunt or uncle who might buy a Yorkie for you as a gift.
Kidding aside, there might be some free Yorkies out there but these may come with defects and you soon might end up breaking your heart after gaining the happiness of owning one.

I am a 52 year old woman living alone. I have been diagnosed with Acute ALL Leukemia. I am currently undergoing extensive chemotherapy treatments and waiting for a bone marrow transplant which is scheduled for November 17th. I would love to have a small yorkie for a companion. I raised pomeranians for years. My transplant coordinator said if I want a new puppy, I have to get one now so my body can adjust to it before my transplant. After the transplant I cannot have a new animal in my home for a year. I have no small children to worry about hurting her. I am looking for a teacup just like the one in this picture.

Shar,
Yorkies are easy to find. In your condition though it might be a bit harder. I would try the normal places online. petfinder and so forth.
But the best places are where you can actually see the dog locally. So I would also check your local newspapers and pet shelters.
A yorkie cross breed might also work well with you. I have heard that a yorkiepoo (yorkie / toy poodle) or a shorkie (yorkie / shitzu).
I have also heard wonderful things about the Pomeranian crosses too.

I have so much love to give! I had a Yorkie that was my service dog but more importantly my understanding companion who gave me unconditionsl love. I have Epilepsy, Multiple Slerosis and Luekemia and my yokie used to let me know just before I was about to have a seizure in time to take medication. She was stolen when I was in the hospital and life sure is lonely without her. It has been a while and I will miss my “Liberty Bell (Libby)” and always love her but would like to have another Yorkie or Yorkie Mix (teacup) that I can hold and love and play with all the time.
December 27th, 2009 at 12:32 pm

December 27th, 2009 at 11:41 pm
This is for Christina & any one else with small kids. DON”T get a yorkie. Small kids can & will hurt a small yorkie or any other small dog. Yorkies are a very fragle dog. YOU Christina, need to do a little research on yorkie’s.
December 27th, 2009 at 11:44 pm
For Christina, Don’t get a yorkie. You need to do some research on Yorkie’s/small dogs. Anyone in there right mind wouldn’t bring a small dog into an enviroment with small kids. The kids could/will accidently hurt the dog. THINK THINK…..READ READ….before getting any dog/pet.
December 28th, 2009 at 12:03 am
Yorkie info……Yorkies are not free, or anyother rescued pet. Rescue shelters only charge a minimal fee. Any other fees covers medical expenses. When a dog enters a shelter he/she usually has medical problems. For example, a young boy was walking along a road & heard a noise & crys. He went over to a stream where the noise was coming from. He found this little yorkie tangled in vines & half surmerged in water. His parents couldn’t afford to keep him due to medical costs of a broken leg. So they took him to their local shelter.
Also…..I recommend not buying from breeders. There are plenty of yorkie/pets out there that needs forever homes. Buying from breeders only encourages them to breed MORE. MOST pet shops get their pets from PUPPY MILLS!!!
BEWARE of the breeder who agrees to ship your pet. I recommend the web site http://www.yorkierescue.com
Lots of good reliable info. You can contact them by e-mail or phone. My e-mail is xxxx@yahoo_com

For all you cry babys who want a yorkie for FREE. Yorkies don’t come free. Small dogs have high vet bills. If you can’t afford $200.00 a year for teeth cleaning, $40-60 every 2-3 months for grooming (very important), spading, shots, food, and the list goes on….then you don’t need a pet, let alone a yorkie or anyother small dog.
And…..if you REALLY want & can afford a yorkie….there’s alot of reputable rescue shelters on the internet (www.yorkierescue.com for starters) or enlist your local shelter. I did. My yorkie cost me $50.00 in adoption fees & another $60.00 in medical fees that my yorkie needed at time of rescue. Another $400.00 after I got her home. AS I said, yorkie’s are not FREE.
VERY IMPORTANT…..Small pets & kids under 12 DON’T mix!!! Small pets are very fragile. They can get hurt easily. Stepped on, sat on etc.
Before getting any small pet you need to read up on them.

Yes Pat, we have many articles about what to think about when a person is wanting to adopt a yorkie.
January 4th, 2010 at 11:53 pm
My dear Pat… rest assured, we have information for those who want to adopt a yorkie. Yorkshire terriers are not for everyone. There are several factors to consider. We appreciate your care and concern for these dear creatures. At the same time, if Christina were to want a yorkie or small dog around kids then that’s her business. There is no need to attack anyone.
Additionally, I want everyone to know that we do not sell yorkies.
If anyone would like to advertise their yorkies for adoption in our Adoption section please fill out the contact us form.

ALL I AM LOOKING FOR IS A FREE OR REALLY CHEAP TEACUP YORKIE!! IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR????
February 28th, 2010 at 8:51 pm
Bre, to be blunt if I may- yes that is too much to ask.
Researching yorkie breeders will show that yorkies cost on average $1000 give or take. If you are offered a yorkie for much less than $500 please be advised the “breeder” may be scamming you- which means you will end up short money with no yorkie.
There are many reasons why yorkie adoption costs so much. Contrary to what most might think, it is virtually impossible to make a profit off of these dogs. Think about it- most dogs have 5-6 puppies per litter or more. At $200 a piece that’s an overall $1200. Yorkies have 1-2 per litter on average. Plus yorkies are such small dogs that additional medical costs are associated with housing their pregnancies. To mention a *few* reasons.

Hey, I was wondering could you send me the information on the yorkies please & thanx @: {removed for protection}. -thanx in advance for your time.
March 10th, 2010 at 8:05 pm
Hey, I have been looking for a tea cup yorkie for about 8 years, but I don’t have the money. My mom has been wanting one as well. We lost our dog about four years ago, but never had the money to buy another one because they are so much. I saw this web site it said, “free tea cup yorikes” I was in tears because I thought I could finally have one of my own, but it was a scam. My house is nice, but we need to pay for the house. It would be coming into a nice home. I would fer sure pay for food and shots with my money, but $500 and up is a lot for me to buy a puppy. If there is anyway I can get one for free please let me know.
God Bless
Hope <3
March 10th, 2010 at 9:07 pm
Hope,
I have seen real occurrence of people giving away their yorkies. The real ones are only for when the individuals love their dogs and can’t keep them any more. They usually are moving due to a new job and will be in apartment where they can’t keep a dog.
So they need to give away the puppy. These are only done locally. So Check you local newspapers website for listings every day.
Local free yorkies are usually not a scam. As all you need do is pick the dog up after driving a few miles. So there aren’t any shipping costs or what have you, that the con artists can trick people into.
Now if you have saved up a few hundred dollars then you can pick up a yorkie mix breed. They can start in about the $300s and well even go higher than the pure breed yorkies. But most are well below the yorkie pure breed prices.
One thing I have also noticed is that every yorkie I have looked at, the prices have been negotiable. I talked a breeder down $200 when we got Bella. If I knew what I know now I could have talked that breeder down $600 easy. Its all about value, see. Why is one yorkie worth $1,000 and another worth $2,000. Does the puppy know any tricks, been house broken, or are you just paying for some ghost value the breeder came up with.
If they try the sell you on the lineage of the dog then have them prove the lineage, and ask why your paying so much for a puppy that isn’t from a champion Sire. Also ask them what value a championed sired pup is to you? Your not going to breed the dog or compete in AKC dog shows. So the linage has no value to you any way.
One thing that lineage can help with is genetics, there is the real value right there. So thats when you start to ask questions about teeth, look at the parents teeth. Ask about anal glads, yorkies are great as they rarely ever have issues with anal glands due to genes. We have a lot of info on yorkie health so check out those blog posts.
Hope this helps, Hope!

Hello,
I am very interested in owning a Yorkie. It’s been in my wish list for many years but found it a little too pricey. I owned two labs, black and yellow. I miss having a dog to play and cuddle with. Now is the time. Hope you consider me.
Best regards
March 20th, 2010 at 7:31 pm
I’d like a free yorkie.. E-mail me info please.
April 15th, 2010 at 4:35 pm
i am interested in a free or low priced teacup yorkie. I have been looking around trying to find one, but the prices are too expensive for me. Please email me if you have anything. thanks
April 25th, 2010 at 9:16 pm
When asking for a “free” yorkie makes me ask….If you can’t afford one, then how will you pay for the vet bills? Vet bills can sometimes run as high as $2000.00….depending on the medical problem. Teeth cleaning can be as high as $300. I’d suggest looking into rescue. Even then, it can run into quit a bit. Depending on what type of medical care the yorkie recieved while at the rescue shelter.
Nothing in life is Free.
