Getting a good deal on any purebred dog can be a challenge; breeders tend to charge an arm and a leg and the dog can still heave future health issues if not bred properly. 
The Yorkie has become a very popular dog, and it’s imperative that you spend time researching, and compiling questions to ask a reputable dog breeder.
If you would like to know where to buy affordable yorkies, there are a few specific things to take into account. A great dog breeder is one with his animals pets interest in mind. He won’t give away puppies for the sake of collecting cash, but he wants to find the perfect home for his dogs, and takes pride in maintaining the breed standard.
The breeder should have as many questions for you, as you do for him, and you should expect to be asked for vet references, and if local, house visits to ensure their dogs are going to good homes. If you’re visiting a breeder, ask to see the conditions their dogs are kept in. Yorkie puppies will ideally be kept in the home, since they’re so small and can get injured easily. A Yorkie breeder should be well versed in ANY information you have regarding the breed, including health issues and genetic disorders – not only should they have the knowledge, they shouldn’t avoid sharing it with you. A good dog breeder, is an honest one.
Where to buy affordable yorkies is a question that many of us have wondered. Yorkshire Terrier puppies vary in price quite drastically; some are thousands of dollars and others you can purchase for only a few hundred. Since celebrities have been spotted carting these cuties around in their designer dog cases, interest has piqued and some breeders have upped their prices to appeal to the upscale crowd. Remember this: just because a Yorkie is priced through the rough, doesn’t mean it’s of better quality than one that’s significantly cheaper. Meet, and speak with the breeder regardless of price, to find out which dog is right for you.
If you find a Yorkie you are smitten with, and it’s states away the possibility to ship your pet is probably available through the breeder, but most of the time it’s not a very good idea. Young puppies can become traumatized if flown on a plane to get to you, and it’s a risk you don’t want to take. If you get a puppy that’s been emotionally scarred early on, it will be prone to social anxiety, and neurotic behavior. Lucky for you, there are many websites that offer searches for for breeds by name, and location. Picking a location close to your home gives you the advantage to go and visit with a litter of Yorkshire Terriers to find the perfect match, and who knows, maybe you’ll come home with two.
You know you’ve got a good perspective Yorkie if she [or he] has shiny hair, greets you when you entire it’s pen [or room], and who’s breeder is welcome to sharing any information with you. Many reputable breeders will be registered with the American Kennel Club, and that will give you some assurance that you are getting your new pet from someone who truly cares about dogs, and aims to provide you with the best pet they can.

Should you be offered a yorkie for such a price
be sure to go through a third party escrow
so that your money will be backed and safe.
Many stories exist on this site of people who were scammed into paying
$200- $300 for a yorkie and lost their money, ending up with no yorkie.

This little dog in the picture is Princess. The picture was taken off my website on my happy tails page. She was not a cheap yorkie puppy as she sold for $3000 plus her delivery. I hand deliver all my tiny yorkies they do not fly alone.
Raising a tiny yorkie like Princess is a lot of work. When they are weaned we get up every two hours to check on them and feed them. Very rarely will you find a tiny yorkie like Princes for a cheap price if the breeder is legit. This is a time and a half job raising the tiny ones. Never ever wire money to anyone no matter how good the deal is. Once you wire or western union money it is out of your hands.

Like the picture on this page people steal my pictures off of my website and try to sell you a puppy that doesn’t exist.
