Yorkie and Yorkshire Terrier cross breeds

Yorkies are very popular dogs and great pets. My personal preference is for full bred yorkies, although when cross bred yorkies can create beautiful puppies. I have seen several different popular yorkie and yorkshire terrier cross breeds.

Morkies: Yorkshire terrier and Maltese mix

Chorkie: Yorkshire terrier and Chihuahua mix

All of the above dogs make great pets. There are many advantages to cross breeding, depending on what dogs you breed- perhaps increased intelligence or health, even more calm or friendly temperament. The problem with cross breeding is that with a litter of these pups you will get many variety of looks- in each litter. Cross breeds have a variety of different markings- agian, in each litter. No two puppies in a cross breed litter will look the same. If you cross breed and expect a certain look one must ask themselves, can I accept something different than my expectations? Can I find a home for many cross breeds? When breeding full bred puppies you will have more certainty in the outcome of each puppy.
