Bella often wants to go with us whenever we get into the car.
I don’t think she enjoys car rides but she definitely doesn’t like to get left behind! Bella is often bummed during a long car ride but she will always go with us gladly.
What I do to make the ride bearable for them:
Both Bella and Bubby are calmer when I have a blanket for them to sit on. They are more comfortable this way. They both like the blanket even more when it has a lot of volume and can raise them up enough to see out the car window.
I have tried bringing bones for chewing and toys just for comfort level, but they rarely pay attention to any of these items. Their favorite thing to do in the car even more than sit on a blanket is to sit on my lap. They would love to have a lap to themselves, but since Bart and I are the only ones in the car one of us is driving, so that doesn’t work out very well.
Yorkies enjoy treats during car rides but I would only feed them one treat per half an hour of driving time. Dogs can get car sick just like people!

Is there some way you can tell what color the puppy will end up being. Such as your dog, it is a beautiful coat, was it listed as black/glod or black tan. I guess what I am asking is how do you know what color the grown up dog will be. Thank you

she will be black and gold because of the shine in her hair if there is not a shine it will be black and tan but bella will be black and gold

please respond for me about this i have heard that yorkie puppies lose their baby coat and that get another coat and then it will change to colors that it is going to be full grown

Yes that is true. But only partially- they do not shed their coat, it grows out naturally. Full grown yorkies have finer hair, puppy yorkies more coarse, or thick. The colors of a yorkie’s hair also change as they age from darker tones to lighter.

I am considering buying a teacup yorkie and was had a couple of question about their coat care. 1.) Do they shed heavily? 2.) Do they require routine professional grooming?
Thanks for your assistance in addressing these concerns.

I just wanted to say if you want a dog for free then you do not want a do really at all as dogs need things such as a vet. Not just one visit but a life time of them. I would say if you can not pay for a dog then, You need not have a dog they need good food and toys not just ohhh how cute I want one

FYI – Teacup Yorkies are adorable but come with many health problems due to incorrect breeding. Owners breed together their smallest male and smallest female which results in much smaller Yorkies. Although there is no such thing as a teacup yorkie, breeders have labeled them as this for more money.
FYI- a Chihuahua is the “smallest” dog in the world (height 6″-9″) and the Yorkie second smallest (height 8″-9″). Any pet smaller than the standard breed is a deformity. People are paying outrageous prices for these itty-bitty-teeny-tiny pups who end up having severe health problems in just a few short years. A “teacup” is no better than the average puppy-mill pup.

Yorkies do require a little to alot of professional grooming depending on whether its a typical house pet or for show. A Yorkie house pet will need to be brushed every 3 days at MINIMUM and will need a professional grooming at least once each month to maintain the long coat. If you dont care for long coat and desire a shorter coat then a professional groomer is needed approx. every 2-3 months. The longer the coat, the more a Yorkie tends to shed but even then its not that much.
As for the ears (Ucy), Yorkie ears are not professionally cropped but must be trained while they are a pup (4wks) otherwise they will continuously fall. To train the ears, you must measure the length of the ears first. You will need medical tape and a wide plastic straw. Measure the space between the two inner ears then cut the straw to this size. Then measure the length of both outer ears then cut the tape to this size. Place the straw over the center sticky part of the tape. As a shunt, bridge the straw in the center of the ears and fold the remaining tape onto the flap of the ear. With the tape, go completely around the ears a second time to reinforce it. Leave the taped shunt on your pup for 14 days. Take it off for 7 days. Re-do this process and leave it for another 14 days. The process should be complete by week 9, ears shall now stand erect forever.
